Microdrop is a microgreens growing vessel. The brief for the project was to produce 7 identical desirable objects to give to the community during a closing exhibition. We had to utilise molding and casting techniques for the majority of the object. The base is cast from floor leveling compound. The lid is an old hardwood bed rest turned on a lathe. The tray in the middle is offcuts of stainless steel cut with a water jet. During the exhibition, all vessels were gone in well under a minute.
